What is the SMS Security Code?

The SMS security card is part of our Multifactor Authentication (MFA). It provides an added layer of security to verify the account holder’s identity when they sign into an their account

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) sounds complex but it’s not, it’s just a way of 'double-checking' that you’re really the person you’re claiming to be when you log into your account.

Our MFA uses a combination of two Factors:

1.   Something you know (Email and Password),

2.   Something you have (a phone for SMS for notification)

How does it protect me?

The second-factor “Something you have” is an additional authentication layer.

A one-time password sent to your mobile phone to provide an additional layer of security to access your account.

UBT will never ask for this code and it should not be shared with anyone.
